Thunder Coast Marine, Inc. is owned and operated by Mark Platau. Mark Platau is a United States Army Veteran who grew up on the water in Tampa Florida. After his five years of service in the Army Mark became a USCG certified captain (OUPV) and ran fishing and diving charters in the Gulf of Mexico. Shortly thereafter Mark attended the Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando Florida, where he achieved High Honors upon graduation. He worked in the marine mechanic industry for several years before starting his own business. In that time, he gained training and certifications with several manufacturers and associations including: Mercury Outboard Mercruiser, Yamaha, and NMEA. He also has extensive training and experience in marine electrical systems including direct current, alternating current, inverter systems, solar power, and various other systems. In his free time Mark enjoys scuba diving, freediving, spearfishing, and underwater photography.

Thunder Coast Marine, Inc. was founded in 2013. We have been dedicated to the water ever since. Over the years we have worked with and on fishing and diving charters, serviced those vessels and have learned to appreciate when the work is done right!
